Round 1 Night 6 - "Surprise, surprise,surprise."

What a night! Record rain. Seahawks on MNF live two blocks away, so traffic and parking were nightmarish beyond even the usual. Still managed to draw a crowd to the venerable Comedy Underground, our blessings to the folks who came out despite the adverse conditions.

And what a night! Industry in the house - validation - and a "miracle baby."

I don't know how to begin, exactly; I guess what happened is that Emmett "Validation Set" Montgomery, about as ".alt" as a comic can get and so maybe not the best fit in Kent or Yakima, was the man of the hour. Came in 2nd for the night, although way down in the standings for the week.

And you know how, sometimes, days after the earthquake, they find a baby alive in the rubble. Well, they named him Damonde. As in Tschritter. Finished fourth Sunday night, his highest placement of the week. Went up first in the "bullet spot" on Monday, finished 6th for the night.

This somehow allowed him to slip into the semi-finals by 4/100ths of a point, past Tony "Steady" Daniel, veteran Dean Oleson, and the surging Nicholas Anthony. Holy Mackeral. We added and re-added, and sure enough.
