Damonde Tschritter

Damonde Tschritter

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Damonde Tschritter is an actor, comedian and film maker. He has written and starred in many short films including, "Cool Undercover", "Metrix" and "Corked Lightning". His first film "Comedy Club" in which he wrote and co-starred, was chosen for the finals of the Reel Madness Film Festival.

Damonde grew up in what he describes as a 'supportive, funny, white trash' environment. His youth was spent excelling at sports such as hockey and baseball. At the age of 16 he began hosting his own cable talk show, and set his sights on the stage. He enrolled in an extensive 2 year acting intensive with personal coach Jonathon Rout (from the Strasburgh Institute). Wanting to one day make his own films, Damonde began working as a 2nd A.D. on Canadian feature films. A sponge for knowledge, it was not long before Damonde was indeed creating and filming his own projects.

Damonde not satisfied being just an actor/writer/film maker, began to focus on stand-up comedy. Within 2 years of his first amateur night as a comic, Damonde was touring across North America as a professional comedian. His laid back style and comic voice have made him a favorite amongst club managers. In 1999 Damonde finished in the top 3 of the Seattle Comedy Competition, a feat never before accomplished by a Canadian.

"I am doing what I have always wanted to, and I think that makes me a very lucky person. I get up in the mourning and whether I am acting, writing or preparing for a comedy show, I am doing what I love". says Damonde from the set of the sequel to "Cool Undercover".
