Semi-final comics chosen

Erica Sigurdson, Meghan Hounshell, Erik Griffin, Sadiki Fuller, Dave Metcalfe, MC Harrold Gomez. Metcalf was not actually glowing, he was in shadow and I had to lighten his face.

After twelve nights on the road, the two Preliminaries are done. The five finalists for week 2 are:

1. Erica Sigurdson
2. Sadiki Fuller
3. Erik Griffin
4. Meghan Hounshell
5. Dave Metcalfe

They will join Jy Harris, Graham Clark, Andy Peters, Lamont Ferguson and Heneghen for six nights of comedy in the semi-finals.

Thanks to everybody who participated. We had funny, interesting, diverse shows, thanks to you. The producers want to extend a special thanks to comedian Eric Haines. Ya see, Eric has his own audio gear, which he needs to do his shows; he comes to each venue early, checks out the sound system, and sets up, graciously benefiting everyone. Sometimes it's just a mixer and his own wireless mic. Sometimes, as last night, it was an entire portable sound system. We didn't even ask. He walked up to me, said, "there was a problem with the sound at this venue last time, I have my system with me, you want me to set it up?"
Me: "Duh."
(Didn't really say it that way, I never say "duh.")
But the sentiment is the same.
So, Eric, on behalf of the show and the comedians who benefited from your extra effort, thank you again.
