Auburn Avenue Theater hosts monthly stand-up comedy shows, always on a Friday and Saturday. Last Friday's Round 1 show was completely sold out. Would Auburners come out on a school night?
Yes, they would.
This is one of the best venues ever for comedy, an intimate theatrical setting with beer and wine available.
One night of each round of this competition, we keep the shows "TV-clean." In other words, comedians are restricted to what they could say and do on Conan or Letterman. This was the night. And what it did was to raise the level of comedy. . .
Although the audience loved everybody, the judges had a hard time deciding, so there were lots of ties:
