Was it because today's a holiday?
Comedy Underground was packed OUT for opening night of Round 2. Comedy veteran Sean Kent drew the dreaded "bullet" - the opening slot - yet rocked it right out of the gate. "Givin' 'er from the get-go" as Damonde Tschritter might say.
Kent set the tone for the evening, as the crowd stayed hot all the way through to the end, although his mighty effort got him only as far as 6th place, 0.23 points behind 5th place Paul Hooper.
Seattle's ("represent!") Solomon Georgio was the judges' choice for first place, followed by Travis Simmons (probably the "people's choice"), David Cope, Derek Lengwenus, and the aforementioned Mr. Hooper.
L-R: Vince Valenzuela (host), Travis Simmons (2nd), Derick Lengwenus (4th), Paul Hooper (5th), David Cope (3rd) and Solomon Georgio (1st)
