SICC: The Standings Are as Jammed as the Traffic

Let me just say this as simply as possible:  We love bringing the competition to the Skagit Valley Casino every year.  We’re treated very well, we perform in a state of the art facility and we’re treated to a sold out show, every year.

Let me just say this, though:  We’re not nearly as big of fans of the drive, through Seattle, Everett and Marysville’s rush hour traffic jams, to get to the venue on a rainy Friday night.  Still…its well worth some extra-time sitting in your car hoping to inch towards our destination, adding an hour to the drive time, for such an awesome show.

Our Semi-Finalists in this 33rd Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition rose to the challenge and rocked the sold out show–the fourth of five shows in their Semi-Finals Week.  The audience loved everybody…some, they loved more than others…and the same was true for the judges.

They liked Nate Abshire, Solomon Georgio and Joe Klocek…just not as much as they liked the performers in the Nightly Top 5.

And those performers were:

Semi-Finals Week-Night Four Nightly Top 5

  1. Michael Malone (Los Angeles, CA)
  2. Elliot Maxx (Ballard, WA)
  3. Landry (Atlanta, GA/Toronto, ON)
  4. Tyrone Hawkins (Tacoma, WA)
  5. Justin Leon (Kansas City, MO)

This is Michael’s second nightly win this week–putting him in a great position going into the final night of the week for earning a weekly score high enough to put him into the finals.  Only the Top 5 comedians for the week will move on…and let me just say very simply that it is all far too close to call…and that EVERYTHING depends on how EVERYONE does on the final show of this Semi-Finals Week.

Find out which five of our Semi-Finalists will become Finalists at our next show!
